The only time the Bible mentions elections is the moment when the Roman governor in Judea, Pontius Pilate, after judging Jesus and finding him innocent, tried to save him by proposing an election between Jesus and Barabbas.
The enraged Jewish mob was demanding the immediate crucifixion of Jesus, but according to Roman law, the governor knew that it was incorrect to condemn an innocent person when that same authority had not found him guilty.
However, the Jewish mob, frightened by the scribes and Pharisees, kept shouting "Crucify him". Pilate answered them “But he has committed no crime.”
As the mob became more and more agitated, Pilate, trying to save Jesus from crucifixion, proposed to the crowd, given the custom that the governor could release a prisoner to them whom the people chose, “Whom do you want me to release to you, Jesus or Barabbas?”, Barabbas being a recognized thief and criminal.
Jesus of Nazareth, who never committed any sin, lost that election because the enraged Jewish mob, blind with hatred by their Jewish ideology, decided so. According to this "democracy", Jesus received death by crucifixion and Barabbas conquered "freedom.”
Concepts such as "democracy”, "freedom”, “elections”, “human rights” are hollow, empty and false concepts that allow us to crucify innocent people like Jesus and give "freedom" to thieves like Barabbas.
The Holy Scriptures do not speak of "democracy” or elections except that won by Barabass. 99% of Nicaraguans are Christians and the Bible is our fundamental guide.
These same concepts are used and manipulated by US imperialism to manipulate and blackmail the world’s peoples as happened during the 1990 elections, when George Bush threatened the people of Nicaragua that if they elected Comandante Ortega, the war would go on.
If, on the contrary, they voted for the candidate of Washington, Violeta de Chamorro, the war would end, Peace would come, along with all the loans needed to rebuild the country that they themselves had destroyed.
Former CONTRA director and ex-Jesuit priest Edgar Chamorro Coronel told US television that "the people of Nicaragua voted with a gun to their head." Although his words went around the world, the anti-Sandinista mercenaries played dirty and kept silent.
When on the night of July 19, 2026, in front of a square full of young people who were jumping and dancing with great joy, celebrating the most glorious moment in our history, Co-President Comandante Daniel Ortega announced that in Nicaragua “There will be no elections again,” the coup mercenaries' blood pressure shot up and they felt sick to the stomach.
The whole pack of anti-Sandinista mercenaries and coup plotters, who in April 2018, robbed, killed, tortured, turned churches into brothels, set fire to radio stations, buses and town halls, destroyed 500 thousand formal and informal jobs, cried to high heaven when they heard Daniel's words.
They, whose basic legitimacy comes not from the people but from Yankee dollars. They who had been preparing for a “transition to democracy” for months. They who, like Somoza, are only interested in obeying their imperialist masters, suffered a mental diarrhea such that now that's all they talk about 24 hours a day.
Thanks to the gross interference, threats and manipulations on the part of the U.S. government, in the electoral processes of Honduras, Colombia, Bolivia and Chile, US puppet governments have been installed in all these countries.
Elections as presented by the United States and the Latin American oligarchies are the best way to get the people to vote for Barabbas and not for Jesus. It is the best way to practice their blatant interventionist interference in Latin American countries
They achieve this thanks to an intense, permanent and brutal campaign of hatred which stigmatizes candidates who defend national sovereignty rather than imperialist interests. To do so, they resort to mercenary information outlets such as La Prensa, Confidencial, and more than a dozen “garage” channels.
These have no recognized employment except to spend day and night talking from their improvised “platforms”, extolled via disgustingpolitical masturbation, singing the praises of a mercenary armed force which never materializes and the fall of the Ortega-Murillo “dictatorship” that also fails ever to happen.
They believe, given the international situation, that this is the best time to overthrow the government of the People President. But an objective analysis suggests the opposite. Indeed, the impasse in Iran and the approaching mid-term legislative elections in the United States do indeed indicate the opposite.
The U.S. government is very familiar with the Somocista-Chamorro coup plotters and does not trust them. The same ignominy awaits the traitors of the nation of Augusto César Sandino as that of María Corina Machado in Venezuela: to be disqualified by their own masters.
Meanwhile, the People President rides victorious on the crest of the wave of achievements. We have a buoyant and expanding economy; the number of low-paid employees is down, but the number of entrepreneurs earning five times more than formal employees is up.
Nicaraguans produce 100% of all our essential needs and 80% of our electricity sources come from renewable energy sources: hydroelectric, wind, geothermal, and biomass.
At the same time, the Government of Unity and National Reconstruction continues inaugurating hospitals, clinics, primary and secondary schools, continues to provide student bonuses and university scholarships, highways, 99% electricity supply covers the whole country, drinking water above 80%, transport subsidies and subsidies to senior citizens.
There is no reason to interrupt the vigorous process of economic growth the country is experiencing and the social peace that we live thanks to the blood of the Heroes and Martyrs who gave their lives so that we could have the patriotic nation that all Nicaraguans are building today.
