WE ARE NO ONE'S SUBJECTS
The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua acknowledges receipt of yet another Statement from the European Union which we consider interventionist, imperialist, and typical of a mentality and practices anchored in a Colonial Past.
Faced with this latest expression of long-standing attempts at domination by those who at some point, via catastrophe and ambitious, bloody historical adventures, felt they owned the World, the Sovereign People and Government of this Combative and Victorious Nicaragua reiterates that it does not accept such torpid assertions about our Territories or our Peoples and our Democratic, Dignified, Triumphant Processes.
Nicaragua is free, it makes its own decisions about its institutional system and chooses its own Ways and Models so as to exercise the Democracy that has cost so much blood.
And just in case you forget, let us remind you: We are no one's vassals!
