It is the 81st anniversary of the admirable, epic and legendary Victorious Campaign of the Soviet Union, which was able to contribute so much to end the war, death, and suffering of humanity among the horrors of Nazism and the indifference of so many.
Today, in 2026, 81 years on, we celebrate Victory Day, twinned as a Family, continuing the Glorious Battles now being fought to prevent the return of the terror of Fascism.
We celebrate the Bravery and the Glory of so many millions of Soviet Comrades who, with their courage, audacity and dedication, held, as they hold today for the Russian Federation, the Banners of Humanity, in immortal Days against diabolical Fascism, which give continuity to the Struggles in order for there never to be a return to that ominous Past, which imposed so much grief and seeks to re-impose still more on the whole world
We celebrate the immense value embodied at that time, as it is embodied now, of the determined defense of Peace and the Right of Everyone to live and to build a Future of Life and Rights.
Fascism turned the planet into a Hell, where the grotesque and cruelty were made normal, against which the empire of Reason and the Force of Life managed to impose itself, via the sacrifice of so many Brothers and Sisters, particularly from the Soviet Union.
From Nicaragua, which has bravely fought for Peace through its Worthy, Sacred History of Dignity, we salute the Glorious Comrades of those Times, the Victorious Immortal Brigades, all the Heroic Fighters of the Better World, and we honor with infinite respect their devotion, selflessness and absolute dedication to the Causes of Justice and Love.
Long live the brave Soldiers who achieved Peace for the World!
Long live the millions of Heroes and Martyrs!
Long live Humanity striving for those splendid Horizons we will continue to create, wielding Common Good, Fraternity, Solidarity, Kindness, Generosity, in the face of the barbarism, arrogance, perversity and hatred that threaten to destroy us all!
