To the Islamic Community, on the occasion of the Holy Month Ramadan
“In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful", beloved Muslim Brothers and Sisters all over the World:
Based on the Human Values that unite Peoples beyond their Creeds and Cultures, and convinced that religious and cultural diversity constitute a source of enrichment for our shared Human Unity, on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, we are glad to express our most sincere Congratulations and Best Wishes on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Month of Ramadan is not only a Religious Commemoration, but also a Spiritual and Ethical School in which the highest Values of Mercy, Tolerance and Solidarity are manifest. It is a time when the Spirit of Generosity, Patience and Commitment to Others, especially those most in need, are strengthened, thus contributing to the construction of more cohesive Societies, where Justice, Peace and Human Dignity prevail.
In an international context marked by growing challenges and complex humanitarian crises, it becomes increasingly necessary to privilege dialogue and wisdom, reject hate speech and extremism, and promote a culture of mutual respect and constructive cooperation among nations. From our Blessed and Forever Free Nicaragua, we reiterate our firm commitment to all initiatives aimed at achieving a Just Peace and Lasting Stability, as well as expanding the horizons of cooperation for a more Secure and Prosperous Future for future generations.
We pray to Almighty God that in these Blessed Days He will grant Goodness and Peace to all the Peoples of the World, alleviate the difficulties that face our Nations and strengthen our Unity, Prosperity and Hope. May this Sacred Month be a new opportunity to strengthen the Bonds of Human Fraternity and reaffirm that the Encounter around the Values of Goodness is the most certain Path to lasting and sustainable Peace.
