Remarks by Rosario, Co-President of Nicaragua,
after the Event to Commemorate the 46th Anniversary of the Founding of the National Police

Good evening Compañeras and Compañeros. How much Pride! What a great Blessing! What Strength we have, because we are capable of understanding, of loving and defending Peace... The Peace that gives us Security, the Peace that gives us Sovereignty, the Peace that gives us Prosperity and Work so we can get ahead.
I want to give a special greeting to all our Police Officers, Women and Men, who work tirelessly to serve our People; to the Volunteer Police who are everywhere also, contributing to strengthening Security. And how fortunate we are, as we said, Blessed, Prospering and Victorious, because we maintain Peace and we have the Servants of Peace that our People deserve.
We have given our lives over the centuries, defending what is ours, our Land, our Sovereignty, our Dignity, our National Decorum.
And we are honored to be able to work in Hope, thanks to the fact that we are Servants of the Peace that Christ Jesus has given us... Peace and Well Being, Peace and Love!
As a People of Faith and Hope, We go Onward, and again an Embrace of Recognition, Honor and Glory to all our Police Officers, both those who are on this Plane of Life, and those who have passed to another Plane of Life, giving Everything out of Love.
Thank God, Thank our Heavenly Father, to be blessed as a Strong, Vigorous, Loving People, a People that Neither Sells Out, Nor Surrenders, Ever!
Let us Go Onward! Tomorrow, we are going to attend here the Parade showing Unity, Fortitude, Strength and Victories, and God will continue to reward us with those human qualities which as Servants of the People we all have.
Warm embraces to all Nicaragua’s Families, to the Families of our Police Officers in particular; warm embraces also to all the Families of the Soldiers of our Army. We are all Sovereign Security and Citizen Security, because our Institutions belong to our People and serve our People.
