Remarks by Rosario, Co-President of Nicaragua,
follwoing the Event to Commemorate the 46th Anniversary
of the Foundation of the Army of Nicaraguan

A very good evening, Juan. Good evening, Beloved Families of this Blessed, Sovereign, Dignified, Courageous Nicaragua, which fills us all with Pride. A Nicaragua Forever Free, a Heroic Nicaragua where we strive, heroically, courageously, against Poverty.
Our Comandante Daniel has led us on that journey as he always does in these Events, reminding us all where we have come from and where we are going.
We are sustained by the Spiritual Strength of everyone, men and women. The Spiritual Strength of everyone, of every man and woman, defends us. We are convinced we are a People who, thanks to our Strength of Spirit, are Moving Onward, always transcending, always combative, fighting Poverty in these Times of Light, Life and Truth.
We are proud of every Compañero and Compañera who make up our Armed Forces, our Army. We are proud of all our Heroes, all our Martyrs. We know they are here, in this Square of Faith, of Trust and Hope in God.
We are proud of the Families, the Relatives of all the Members of our Army, those who are here with us and those who are at their Combat Posts, fighting for and defending our Sovereignty, our Security, our Peace.
We are proud to be the Children of our General of Free Men and Women, our General Sandino, who vibrates along all the Paths, guiding us and who is, as he himself said, Light, Life and Truth, Genuine Truth, for all our Nicaragua.
I want to send a special greeting to the Families, to the Mothers, to the Wives, to the Children, to all the Families of our Compañeros and Compañeras of the Nicaraguan Army, those who are still on this Plane of life and those who have transcended it. To tell them how much we recognize them, how proud we are to have this Army of our Patriotic Nation and of Freedom... Of our Free Patriotic Nation! This Army defending the right we Nicaraguans have to fight, to continue striving, to win victories so as to overcome poverty.
Comandante Daniel was talking just now about all the Programs, and those Programs are only possible because there is Peace, because there is Security, and because there is Courage and Honor. Because we are a People who Overcome, the People of Andrés, the People of Sandino, the People of José Dolores, the People of so many who have given Everything for this Patriotic Nation!
