Remarks by Rosario, Co-President of Nicaragua,
after the Event in Commemoration of the 45th Anniversary
of the Naval Forces of the Nicaraguan Army

A very good evening, compañero. We continue moving onward, making our way as ever Always Further On, with the Strength of this People, a Force that constantly Overcomes. Because we do overcome, and we will overcome.
And what achieves victory in Nicaragua? Peace, Harmony, being able to Live Together and being able, of course, to Work in conditions of Security that Peace gives us, in conditions that this Model of our People as President provides, where we can work to prosper, and not only can we, but we must work to prosper.
45 Years after the Foundation of our Naval Force, how many memories, how much evocation, how much we have called on the strength of this Force. Let us remember how our coastal towns, our coastal communities look to the Naval Force in difficult circumstances, and how that Naval Force always responds to Families under difficult circumstances.
And days like this also bring to mind the Heroism of the Compañeros and Compañeras who have given their own Lives in the effort to save Lives. And how can we not pay tribute to them, to their families, on a day like today, and how can we not also pay tribute to all the Members of our Naval Force and their families who give them so much support.
Now we are making our way towards Everyone San Jacinto! Victorious September and we are also approaching the Army Celebrations on September 2nd, the People’s Army Parade, the National Police celebration also in September, and everything we are programming so as to celebrate ourselves in a big way, as Distinguished Patriots, as a Combative People, as a Dignified People, as a People who love our Patriotic Nation and defend its Sovereignty.
Because it is Sovereignty that we defend out of our Sense of National Dignity and Decorum. Sovereignty...! This land is our land, Nicaragua belongs to us, and here we Nicaraguans want, insist on and demand to work for Peace and to move onward in Peace.
My affection for all the Compañeros and Compañeras of the Nicaraguan Army, of the Naval Force, of the Air Force, Let Us All Go Onward... Everyone San Jacinto!
Our Comandante Daniel always recalls for us that Epic Heroism, above all, the Heroism that reflects our Nicaraguan character... Nicaraguan by the grace of God! Combatants by the grace of God! Dignified and Sovereign, by the Grace of God! And so We Go Onward, Always Further On.
