ADVANCING IN SECURITY, SOVEREIGNTY AND PEACE
With the firm commitment to continue protecting National Sovereignty, territorial integrity, Security and Peace, we have unanimously approved the Border Territory Law.
This Law declares that the Border Territory is State property, delimiting it as being 15 kilometers from the border into the interior of the country. This delimitation is vital to prevent external threats and to address crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and organized crime, which threaten the tranquility of Nicaraguan families.
This regulation strengthens the legal framework in defense of the interests of the People.
