Beloved Compañero and Brother Nicolás,
On the distinguished occasion of commemorating, together with the Heroic People of Venezuela, the 214th Anniversary of your Independence this July 5th, we are honored to convey, on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, our most fraternal and warm congratulations to you, Nicolás, and to all in our beloved, valiant and admirable Venezuela.
On July 5th 1811, the representatives of the united provinces of Venezuela solemnly declared their independence from Spanish colonial rule, marking the beginning of a historic feat for Freedom in Our America. That courageous act laid the foundations of a Sovereign Patriotic Nation, forged in Struggle, inspired by the libertarian vision of Simón Bolívar, who bequeathed us the eternal words: “I wish more than anything else to see the formation in America of the greatest Nation in the world, not so much for its extension and riches as for its Freedom and Glory.”
On this glorious date, we celebrate the Dignity and Determination of a People who have never surrendered, who continue steadfast in the defense of their Independence, their Sovereignty and their Right to forge their own Destiny, free from imperial interference and threats. Today, as yesterday, the sons and daughters of Bolívar and Chávez proudly raise the flags of the Bolivarian Revolution, advancing with determination in all the Battles for Social Justice, Peace and Self-Determination.
From this Blessed and Forever Free Nicaragua, in this July of Victories, we reiterate that we are together, making our way Onward, in Unwavering Solidarity, in Revolutionary Fraternity... Forever Free, Forever Dignified, Always Further On!
