REVOLUTIONARY POWER, PEOPLE PRESIDENT
On Tuesday, January 28th and Wednesday, January 29th we unanimously approved the articles contained in the sections titled "Organization of the State”; “Political Administrative Division” and “Supremacy of the Constitution, its Reform and Constitutional Laws”, of the Political Constitution.
With the reform, we establish that the Presidency of the Republic, composed of a Co-President and a Co-President, are the Head of State and Government for a period of six years, the valid term for the Legislative, Judicial, Electoral, Control and Oversight, Regional and Municipal bodies.
The approval of the articles referred to in the title: “Political Administrative Division”, makes it clear that the national territory is constituted by its Departments, the Autonomous Regions of the Caribbean Coast, the Special Development Regimes and Municipalities.
In addition, we ratify the pre-eminence of the new Political Constitution over any other laws, international instruments, decrees, or regulations that might alter its provisions.
In the Constitution, defined as laws with constitutional rank are: the ”Statute of Autonomy of the Regions of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua", along with the Electoral Law, the Emergency Law and the Constitutional Justice Law.
In this way, we continue to comply with the guidance of the Presidency of the Republic, Comandante Daniel Ortega and Compañera Rosario Murillo, to continue deepening our Revolution.
