Declaration of Nicaragua's National Assembly

Repudiation, rejection and condemnation of Israel's fascist genocidal government

For over a year the world ha witnessed the genocide being committed by the Government and army of Israel against the glorious, heroic people of Palestine. Since October 2023, this systematic destruction, that began seventy six years ago, has cost the lives of more than forty two thousand people, mainly women, children and the elderly; every day the statistics continue increasing and their criminal actions have reached other people in the region like those of Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran.

Zionism and its allies impose their arrogance, cruelty and extreme hatred on innocent families, mercilessly bombing civilian infrastructure like hospitals, schools and housing. These brutal actions devastate the population, not just through the murders, but also through the destruction of the means of life. The brutality of the Israeli government clearly indicates its position of a war of extermination by means of genocidal crimes against humanity and a deliberate policy of annihilation.

The genocide in Gaza undoubtedly represents the most detestable atrocity of the 21st Century and one of the worst in the history of humanity; despite this barbarism, the global oligarchy dominating Western governments, communications media and the international organizations supposedly in defense of human right, conceal the true dimension of the Palestinian people's suffering and destruction.

The Government of Israel, enemy of humanity, seeks to extend its barbarism across all of the Middle East; putting at risk Peace and world security, as seen in the way they treacherously murder the populations of Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria and threaten Iran. All this, with the complicity as well as the logistical and military help of the North American and European empires who have made themselves the true authors of the murders and brutalities committed by their spearhead: the Criminal Zionist Regime.

We Nicaraguans carry in our hearts, in our souls and in our blood, the imprint left by our history, from the Caciques Nicarao, Diriangén and Adiac, lovers of freedom and justice, enemies of slavery and vassaldom. The heritage of Andres Castro, José Dolores Estrada, Rubén Darío, Benjamín Zeledón, Augusto C. Sandino, Blanca Aráuz, Rigoberto López Pérez y Carlos Fonseca, with their antiimperialist thought and their actions of liberation inspire us to defend Peace, sovereignty, self-determination and solidarity between nations.

For that reason, we are a People that denounces these policies of extermination in international forums and call constantly for Peace in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and the whole region; we have taken action in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) rejecting the violations of International Law, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law committed by the zionist government of Israel.

We reaffirm our historic ties of brother and sisterhood with the People of Palestine. We respect the Israeli people who call for an end to the massacre, barbarism and crimes committed by this appalling zionist government and army.

We repeat our demand for compliance with all the United Nations resolutions for the creation of the State of Palestine as a Free, Sovereign, Independent State with Self-determination.

Faced with these atrocious, criminal, cruel actions by the government of Israel against the Palestinian People, Nicaragua's National Assembly respectfully requests the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity to consider breaking off diplomatic relations with the genocidal, zionist Government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

LONG LIVE FREE PALESTINE, LONG LIVE WORLD PEACE!
