Address by Daniel
Nicaraguan brothers and sisters, here, on this Historic Avenue, with Bolívar, where this Avenue begins is the Monument to Simón Bolívar, with Chávez, and there is the Monument to the Heroic Comandante Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías... Here will be the route, Nicaraguan Brothers and Sisters, of the uniformed, armed, and organized People as the People's Army of the Workers, of the Peasants, for the defense of the Peace and Sovereignty of our Nation.
I want to salute, indeed, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Julio César Avilés, the Commanders of the Army and all of this our Country's Army. Likewise, First Commissioner Francisco Díaz, greetings, and to the Commanders of the Police and all the Police Officers of our Country.
I want to confirm that we are still accompanied by the Brothers and Sisters who accompanied us yesterday for the Commemoration of this 45th Anniversary, and who have come from distant Lands, and Fraternal Peoples, such as Captain General Zen Xuan, Political Commissar of the Northern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China. So that Great China accompanies us here. Our greetings to President Xi Jinping.
And from Lands not so distant, a Fraternal People, Brothers and Sisters in Solidarity at all times with the Nicaraguan People, the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Republic of Cuba, Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera. The Land of Martí, the Land of Fidel, the Land of Raúl, the Land of President Miguel Díaz-Canel. To That Heroic People our Affection and our Embrace.
From distant Lands too, representing a People who came, from the very first moment of the Triumph of the Revolution in '79, led by the Sandinista National Liberation Front, to support the Nicaraguan People, so that this Army could be constituted in the first place. Today we are going to see in the Parade armaments that arrived in those years and more modern armaments that have arrived in these New Times, because Russia has been our Brother, a Brother who has been on the side of the Nicaraguan people. Modern armaments have arrived in these New Times, because Russia has been a Brother, a Fraternal People who have been at the side of the Nicaraguan People.
And here representing the People of Russia, the Naval Forces of the Russian Federation, is Admiral Nikolay Evmenov. Welcome, Admiral! And our affection for the People of Russia, for President Putin, and we are sure that they will achieve Victory in the battle they are waging against the Fascism that is rooted in Ukraine.
We are also joined by our Brother from the Land of Bolivar, the Land of Chávez, the Land of Nicolás Maduro, the Commander General of the Bolivarian Army of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Major General José Antonio Burga Baptista. All our affection to that Heroic People who have fought a thousand battles and have always come out ahead.
To the Commander of the Mexican Army and President of the Conference of American Armies (CEA), in its Thirty-Sixth Cycle, Major General Celestino Ávila Astudillo. Welcome, beloved Brother!
Our Affection for the People of Mexico, the Land that our General Sandino visited when he was fighting the battle against the Yankee Occupation, where he found Affection and Solidarity. And our Greetings, our Affection and our Embrace for the Mexican People, and for the President of Mexico, who two days ago presented his Government Report.
Our greetings to the Deputy Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of Honduras, Brigadier General Hosvan René Barahona Alvarado. Welcome, beloved Brother! And our affection to President Xiomara, to the People of Honduras, and to the Army of Honduras.
We are also joined by the Commander General of the Army of the Armed Forces of Honduras, Brigadier General Carlos Efrain Aguilar Hernandez. Welcome, General!
We are accompanied by the Representative of the Secretary of the National Defense Secretariat of the Mexican United States, General of the Aviation Pilot Group Jorge Arredondo Abitia.
Listening to the President, Manuel López Obrador, in his exhibition in the Great Plaza del Zócalo, with all the people there overflowing, listening to him, accompanying him, he made reference to the fact that the migration flowing from the South to the North, towards the United States, is not going to stop or be stopped with walls, it does not stop with repression, it stops in fact by investing in all the Countries from where those thousands and thousands of Citizens emigrate.
And let's talk here about Central America, from where so many migrants go to the United States, and they do not go to steal, they do not go to kill, they do not go to murder, they are not drug traffickers, they are honest citizens, who want to improve their living conditions because of the conditions which prevail in these Countries .
In Nicaragua we have multiplied our efforts so that Nicaraguans are not forced to emigrate. They have every right to emigrate, we cannot prohibit them, nor can we oppose migration.
It is the United States that prohibits migration, the Europeans prohibit migration, when they, those who formed the United States arrived as migrants from Europe to the States, arrived as migrants, and what they did was seize those Lands.
Here we would say that we have managed to counteract those migratory flows, they have been decreasing, to the extent that the Country has been advancing, and it has advanced by responding to the needs of Working People, of Working Families, of Young People, facilitating conditions for them to work, making credit available for them to work.
And at the same time too counting on cooperation from Fraternal Peoples, as I mentioned yesterday, Fraternal Peoples, like the Solidarity of the Fraternal Bolivarian People, of the People of Cuba, and in this New Stage, the Extraordinary Solidarity of the People of the People's Republic of China, such that we see everywhere how companies are multiplying, with investments generating employment and helping Nicaraguans to improve their living conditions so they are not forced to emigrate.
In this way we fully agree with what President López Obrador said about migration, and how to combat it.
We are also accompanied by the Representative of the Secretariat of National Defense of the United Mexican States, General of the Aviation Pilot Group Jorge Arredondo Abitia.
The Representative of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Guatemala, Brigadier General Juan Ángel Carrera Sandoval.
The Representative of the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of El Salvador, Colonel José Orlando García Mena.
And we are accompanied too by the Defense, Military, Naval, Air Attachés, and Heads of Military Missions who are accredited here in our Country. Our greetings to all of them, our Affection for the Peoples that they represent here in Nicaragua.
Now we are going to accompany the Parade, with this our People in Uniform who are going to march this afternoon, this evening along this Historic Avenue, where our Heroes are with us also, Darío, Sandino, Blanca Arauz, Rigoberto López Pérez, Carlos Fonseca, Tomás Borge, Concepción Palacios, the Women of El Cuá, and Josefa Toledo de Aguerri, among others. There too is the Monument to Pedro Joaquín Chamorro, the journalist murdered by the Somoza Tyranny.
As you march down this Avenue, they are marching with you too, our Heroes are marching, our Heroes are present, and the entire people of Nicaragua will also be marching.
Long live the Nicaraguan Army!
Viva, Viva, Viva!
Declarations of Rosario, Vice President of Nicaragua,
After the Military Parade of the Nicaraguan Army
September 3rd 2024
A very good evening. An impressive display of the Spiritual Greatness that makes us Combative and Always Victorious. The Greatness of Nicaragua's People, of Nicaragua's Army, which, as we all know, is the continuation of the Glorious Battles for National Dignity of our Heroes, of our Heroic Forebears, of our Army In Defense of National Sovereignty, and of all the Heroic Guerrillas, when so many Compañeros and Compañeras gave their Lives, so that we may be as we are today: Free, and also, on our Way to Combat Poverty and ConquerPoverty, Onward, Always Together, building Today, and too the Future, Tomorrow.
We want to congratulate once again all the Compañeros and Compañeras of our Army; congratulate all the Women Compañeras who have been joining, in the midst of all the many tasks that Women have to take on, as Young People, as Mothers, as Grandmothers. And that is why we so value the presence of women in the Army, a presence that our People value greatly, because we know what it costs to divide Energy without abandoning any of those many Tasks: The Tasks of the Family, the Children, the Home, along with the Task of Sovereign Defense of the Homeland.
So, Compañeros and Compañeras, today is a Day of Joy, all through this Month of September we celebrate our Blessed, Nation Forever Free, and we are going to proceed, Day by Day, from Celebration to Celebration, from Heroic Commemoration to Commemoration
Heroic and always preserving, passing on and upholding the Values of our National Identity. Because we are a People of Dignity, of Combative Spirit, and of Victories.
A warm embrace to all the Families of our Army, as we were saying yesterday, to all Nicaragua's Families, because all of us are responsible for Defending Peace. Today we watch over the Peace that has cost us so much, and, on the basis of that Peace we work to make progress in all the Rights, in the fulfillment of all the Rights of Nicaragua's Families, above all the Right to Live with Well Being.
And God blesses us, because God blesses all the Victories of the Common Good, of Brother and Sisterhood, of Faith, of Trust in Him and in Supreme Knowledge. Because it is Supreme Knowledge, it is Wisdom, to always be ready to listen to the Voice of God, to obey the Voice of God, to recognize the Signs and the Signals God sends us, to continue the Sublime Battles of Humanity, and for Humanity.
So then, once again, our thanks to all the Brothers and Sisters who have accompanied us from so many Countries and so many Peoples. And in addition to thanking them, to say also: We Are Together in these Battles, in these Struggles to build a World of Goodness, a Better World, the World we deserve, and We Go Onward, with Love, with Hope and with Victorious Strength.
Thank you, compañeras and compañeros.
