Initial remarks by Rosario, Vice President of Nicaragua,
in the Midday Edition of Multinoticias Channel 4

A very good afternoon, compañera. Thank you. Thank you very much. Here we are, and we are going onward!
Yesterday we could not talk at this time, as we usually do every day, because we were at that very important Meeting, the On-Line Summit of Heads of State and Government, of our Dignified Peoples and Countries, Peoples and Countries of the Alliance of Freedom and Sovereignty, who have come together and are heading towards the Future, with the Vision of Fidel and Chavez, Eternal Comandantes of Our America-and-Caribbean.
And with that Summit we ratified, we celebrated the undoubted, indisputable Victory of the Venezuelan People, of their President, our Beloved Comrade Nicolás Maduro... An undoubted victory, a clear victory, an overwhelming and indisputable victory, for those of us who know how to see the World as is is and who are not enslaved, or bowing down, or cowed, in the face of Empires and their interests, and their eagerness to dominate us and to continue plundering, enslaving us.
For those of us who know how to see the world from the point of view of the Dignity of our Cultures and our Struggles, the Victory of the People of Venezuela and President Nicolás is clear, self-evident, and convincing. There is no discussion. There is no doubt.
But of course, those who who are in harmony with the interests of Empires, sadly bent ove r or lamentably cowed, or embroiled, in vanities and egos, in competitions of vanities, of egos, of idolatries, looking to see who may figure more or who might figure better, for them there will always be doubts because they tune in, with special antennas, to those dominant interests and Powers that want, that intend, to continue dominating us.
But after all, we do see very well and we know how to see, and we celebrated the Victory of the People of Bolívar, of Chávez, of Nicolás, reaffirming National Sovereignty and Dignity, indisputable of course. And our Comandante Daniel made an eloquent Historical Reflection, because we must never forget where we came from, where we are now, and where we are going, and how much it costs us every moment, how it costs us reaching every crossroads, how much it costs us in this historical moment, how much it costs us in our life, as the Song goes.
We cannot forget what it costs us every step of the way as we know and as we go onward, with Bravery, with Courage that never bows down and is never humiliated. We know where we have come from, where we are, where we are going, and how we are creating the Future.
And well, we look with Reverence on our Legendary Struggles, our Brilliance, Values and Vigor, and we see with reference to our Ancestors, our Leaders, who our Peoples really are, the Peoples themselves, enlightened by the Visionary Courage of our Great Latin American, Our American-and-Caribbean Beings, who knew then and know now, how to lead the Battles we have been waging, so that from our Majestic, yes indeed, Majestic Identities, we can claim the Pride of being Free, of giving everything for our Rights, demanding Justice, Truth, True Histories, of our unyielding character, of these unyielding convictions, and of our just demands, written in the bloody ink of our Hearts, our Demands for Respect and for Peace.
We always set out to recognize the immense Challenges, the great Battles waged, facing those Challenges with Vigor and Glory, and Always Overcoming, as We Always say, Always Further On, defeating under all circumstances, the Slavers, the Imperialists, the Colonialists, the Fascists, as our Comandante Daniel said yesterday, that Fascism that comes from afar, genocidal, plundering... From the Imperialists of the Earth!
At every crossroads, at every stage of our Brilliant Stories, of Struggles, of Honors, of Advances, via different Paths, but always claiming the Duties, the Responsibilities, the Rights, the Right to Make Our Way, creating the Future our Peoples demand, that we demand, and which all of us deserve. We always try to recognize the challenges and take them on with grace.
Today is the 57th anniversary of the Heroic Deed of Pancasan... 57 Years, and we have honored ourselves this day by distinguishing the Heroic, Exemplary Guerrilla, a Brave Woman, Formidable Nicaraguan Woman, with whom we identify ourselves for her Courage, for her Valor, and for her unwavering Sandinismo, in all circumstances, she never reneged, our Beloved Sister, Compañera, Gladys Baez, to whom we have paid Honors as she deserves and from whom we have learned and continue to learn so much.
To all the Brothers and Sisters, Collaborators, Combatants, Guerrillas, who made Pancasán an Epic, a Legend, of Courage and Honor, and of Faith in the Future, the Faith that does not know Darkness and is not blinded by Darkness, as our Beloved Poet says, whom we always remember and always recite, Fernando Gordillo: “Do not be blinded by the shadows.”
To all the Brothers and Sisters, Collaborators, Combatants, Guerrillas, their Families, and the Heroes, who gave and give their Lives in Love to Nicaragua, and who gave their Lives in Love to Nicaragua in those raw Times of the Sowing, as Rugama said, “with no alternative but Struggle.” To all of them our Love, our Admiration, our Respect, and our Appreciation for their Inspiration... To all of them our irreplaceable Oath to Win, creating New and More, New and More, New and More Victories every day.

Honor and Glory to all the Combatants of All Times...! Honor and Glory to the Sandinista National Liberation Front, who knew how to gather the People, bring the People together, and lead the Struggles; to Carlos, to Tomás, to Daniel who participated in those Epics, that Heroism, that Epic, that Magnificent Example...
And to the Brothers, Silvio Mayorga Delgado, Hero, Founder of the FSLN, Head of that Guerrilla Detachment, originally from Nagarote; to “Pablo Úbeda”, the Legendary, Rigoberto Cruz, Founder of the FSLN, originally from La Libertad, Chontales; to Francisco Moreno “El Chele Moreno”, a Young Man who inspires and guides our Youth, Today and Always, originally from Managua; to Ottoniel Casco Montenegro, from Jinotega; to Fausto Heriberto García Ferrufino; to Carlos Reyna Rivera, from Managua; to Ernesto Fernández; to Oscar Danilo, Doctor, Rosales Argüello, Oscar Danilo Rosales, from León; to Carlos Tinoco; to Nicolás Sánchez López, from Matiguás; to Fermín Díaz Siles, from Matiguás; to Felipe Gaitán, from Matiguás; to Oscar Armando Flores, from Matiguás...
Everyone, and anyone too whom we may not have mentioned, because their name may have fallen by the wayside... To all, our deep Gratitude, our deep Admiration, and our Respect, Always, Eternal, for so much Example, for such Firmness, for such Consistency. That is where we come from, from those Extraordinary, Unshakable Human Beings... To all of them our deep Gratitude, and also the Unbreakable Oath, of a Free Nation, and to Overcome, and Continue To Overcome!
All this is creating the Future, because from these Examples, of Strength, of Faith, of knowing how to see the Future, with detachment, selflessly, that is where we come from and that is where we nourish ourselves, and with them we Go Onward, always dedicated to creating the Future we deserve, with Well-being in the Lives of Nicaragua's Families. Transcending the Misery imposed by the Imperialists, the Colonialists and the Savage Capitalists, at all times. Transcending Misery and making our way, from this already Better Present, towards the Future .
