WORK, SECURITY, PEACE

Remarks by Compañera Rosario Murillo

Noon / April 29th 2024

We start the week amidst the Glorious Commemoration of Tomás, of Benjamin, of so many Compañeros and Compañeras whom we are also commemorate over the coming days, who came from other Lands to offer their Contribution, their Imagination, their Intelligence, and even their Blood, for the Glorious People of our Nicaragua.

Benjamin Linder, whom we celebrated yesterday and is being celebrated all these days; Compañero Ivan Leyvraz, from Switzerland, who worked as an Architect in the VI Region; Compañero Joël Fieux, from France, who joined the Communication work in the VI Region; Compañero Berndt Koberstein, from Germany, who contributed to Drinking Water Projects in the Wiwilí area...

Compañero Albrecht ”Toño" Pflaum, Doctor by profession, from Germany, who contributed to the Health of the People in the Countryside in the Municipality of Pantasma, ambushed by the criminal Counterrevolution in Zompopera; Compañero Pierre Grosjean, a Doctor by profession also, originally from France, who gave his Life during a criminal attack by the Counterrevolution in the Municipality of Rancho Grande; Compañero Maurice Demierre, Agronomist by profession, the first Swiss who fell fighting, working, in Nicaragua and with the Nicaraguan people, also murdered in Somotillo by the Counterrevolution...

Compañero Ambrosio Mogorrón Martínez, a nurse of Basque origin, from Spain, who gave his life for Nicaragua in the community of Los Cedros, San José de Bocay as it is now called... Another ambush by the criminal Counterrevolution! Compañero Antonio Soldano Ferrer, an Agronomist Engineer, originally from Bologna, Italy, who supported the construction of housing and worked with Cooperatives in the Pancasan area; Compañero Jim Card Heinz Frenchmen, from Cologne, Germany, a Nurse Anesthetist and Paramedic graduate, was in Matiguás, fighting for Health for the Families of those heroic areas of our Nicaragua.

And there is a quote that Compañero Pedro Haslam noted when he collected this data for me; a quote from Monsignor Pedro Casaldáliga. All these are Heroic Internationalists who gave their lives alongside the Nicaraguan People who gave their Lives for National Dignity.

Monsignor Casaldáliga says: "The Internationalists. For some they may just be tourists. And I do not know how they will see them from the United States...”How will they see them? "Reagan calls them "terrorists." Will the official United States call them "terrorists”? Of course, they terrify Reagan with good reason. Because the Internationalists of Culture, Health, Construction, Information... The Internationalists of Solidarity, simply in the way they contribute. In that chapel of the little district of Santa Clara, a Delegate of the Word described them definitively when he said: Internationalists internationalize Love”"

What a beautiful quote... And it's the Honest Truth! "Internationalists who internationalized and internationalize love…" The Love that is stronger than Hate!

Well, here we are celebrating the Life of everyone, commemorating them, in Peace and Well-being, as they deserve; with Hope also, which is how we deserve to live in this Blessed Nicaragua.
Commemoration and Commitment on the part of everyone, to continue moving onward, to keep striving, to keep building and to continue defending Peace, which is not a one-day battle... But one we wage always!

This Week, with the Workers too, Women, Men, Families, Young People, Campesinas and Campesino who work from Sun up to Sun down in the Fertile Countryside, our Fertile Fields, growing the Fruits of these Sacred Nicaraguan Lands, to consolidate Peace, Nationhood, Justice, Future.

We are alongside every Worker in the City too, we are together with all the Workers that we too are, in every shape and form, Men, Women, we earn our living integrally, honestly, as a Diligent and Successful People, which we is precisely what we are... With those Families who now everywhere have so much Hope, but Certain Hope, in our Trades and Businesses, we carve out Horizons of Prosperity.

So much to celebrate...! And so much to continue to overcome...! So much to love...! So much for which to thank the God of All Victories...! So much to bless the Good of Soul, the Great of Heart, the Fraternity, the Brother and Sisterhood, the Solidarity, the Complementarity, the Joy, that our Revolution continues to generate in this Nicaragua of Ours, of Light, of Life, of Truth.
In the Month of Dignity and National Sovereignty that we begin on Wednesday... In May the month of Flowers and Fruits... In May the month of Holy Waters... In May of Intense Colors and Vigors... In May the month of Strengths and Forces... May the month of Sandino, our Undefeated General... May of all the Heroes and all the Martyrs who have redeemed, with their Sanctified Blood, our Banners of Glory and Victories, burying forever cowardice, treachery, servility, servitude and submission; to anyone who seeks to dominate our Great People Again, really Great, in all that we are, admirable especially for our own, magnificent, formidable, History of Dignity, Honor, Nobility, Integrity... our History of Heroic, Noble, Victorious Resistance, in the face of invaders, and too in the face of traitors and cowards.

We are finishing April with so many Triumphs of Faith, Hope and Solidarity... And as We head into May, we already know, Always in the Lead, Always Further On, Always United, Always Brave Defenders of Peace. The Peace that is True!

Tomorrow we will be together, honoring each other in the Immense Spirit of Tomás, in the Firmament of so many Luminous Stars, Sparkling Stars, of all our Martyrs, of all our Compañeros and Compañeras who came from other Lands to live with us through hard Times and build the Future with us. We are going to be Together, Everyone, on this Plane of Life, and There too in the Beyond, which after all is still Closest to us, because they Light Our Way they are all Suns for us, Suns that do not Set!

So we will be, Compañeras and Compañeros, tomorrow, with flowers for everyone; with flowers for Tomás, our Legendary Comandante... With Flowers and Love, with intensely Nicaraguan Vigor, Patriots, by the Grace of God!
