Dear Compañeros and Brothers:
In the name of God, The Merciful and Compassionate.
As we commemorate this coming April 17, the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, allow us on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, to extend our most fraternal and revolutionary greetings to you, to the Families and to all that Brotherly Nation.
We celebrate this memorable date, in which the Syrian People defeated colonialism, putting an end to the occupation and laid the foundations for the full exercise of National Sovereignty, Self-Determination and Independence.
We also convey our strongest condemnation of all forms of aggression by the colonialists and neo-colonialists of all times, who attack the Sovereignty and Self-Determination of the Peoples, in clear and flagrant violation of International Law.
We seize this memorable occasion to reiterate our invariable commitment to continue strengthening the Bonds of Brotherhood and Solidarity that unite our Peoples and Governments.
