Good morning, Brothers and Sisters, Compañeras and Compañeros, families of Rancho Grande, thank God we are in this productive land, and we also have Brothers from Waslala and Tuma-La Dalia. Let's give ourselves a round of applause to all of us who are here, because we are here with the Strength of God and the Strength of the FSLN.
Here we are, and first of all I want to send a greeting to the relatives of Facunda González, of the Heroic Women of El Cuá, who recently passed to the bosom of our Lord. Please stand so that we can get to know you and give a round of applause. These are the relatives of Facunda González.
We also have Martiniano Aguilar's relatives; here is Julio who is our Compañero Deputy, Julio Aguilar is Martiniano Aguilar. Martiniano said in the revolutionary mountains you find everything, that is Martiniano, who gave up his life, who moved to another Plane of Life in Yuwaska on one September 16th.
And we have the relatives of our member of the National Historical Directorate of the Sandinista Front, Jacinto Hernández; we have the relatives of Jacinto Hernández: We are all the same, all Sandinistas are the same, we are Brothers and Sisters, and here we pay tribute to all of you.
Now we are going to introduce Compañero Pedro Haslam, Departmental Political Secretary; Compañero Wilber Antonio Montenegro, Mayor of Rancho Grande; Compañero Claudia Castro, Mayor of Waslala.
We also have Compañero Santos Lucrecia, Mayor of Tuma-La Dalia; we have the Brothers and Sisters of the National Police here with us, whom we greet; we have the Political Secretaries of the Victory Units of the Sandinista Front. Where are you Brothers and Sisters? Raise your hands.
To the Compañeros and Compañeras of the Municipal Councils of Rancho Grande, Waslala and Tuma-La Dalia, here we are Brothers and Sisters with you; the historical collaborators of the Sandinista Front guerrillas are with us and deserve a big applause.
To the collaborators and their Youth Movements of the Sandinista Front of Waslala, Rancho Grande and Tuma-La Dalia, as well here they are, the young men and women, there are Compañeras and Compañeros.
We also have Teachers, Students, Transport Operators, Producers and Workers in general, as well as all the families from Waslala, Rancho Grande and El Tuma-La Dalia, everyone is welcome.
And to the Brothers and Sisters of the Citizen Power Media, they capture reality and transmit it to all of Nicaragua and to the world. They capture reality and communicate it, so the work of these Compañeras and Compañeros is very important.
Now I want to introduce you to the Deputies of the National Assembly, they are here with you so you can get to know them; of course they are here just like we are, with you, meeting with you, because the People are President.
And I want to introduce you to these Brothers and Sisters who are with us. Dr. Arling Alonso, who is the First Vice-President of the National Assembly; our heroine from Matagalpa, but she is the Heroine of the whole country, of all of us, Compañera Amada Pineda, you know her. Today I saw Amada feeling very happy, there she met all the young women; there she is, I see her there.
We have our friend Mario Ascencio from the PLI political grouping who has accompanied us everywhere; and we have a woman from the Caribbean, she is from Bilwi, North Caribbean, she is also from Siuna, so she’s partly from the Coast and partly from the Mining Region, her name is Loria Raquel Dixon Brautigam, she is our First Secretary.
Dr. Edwin Castro, Head of the Sandinista Front political grouping; Dr. Auxiliadora Martínez, president of the Justice Commission; Dr. Wálmaro Gutiérrez, president of the Economic Commission, and we have Dr. Lester Flores, Head of the PLC political grouping.
We are here and we have come following the guidance of Comandante Daniel to work on this Reform, so that today we have the honor, the pleasure, the luxury really of coming here, to consult with you, the People President of Rancho Grande, Waslala and the Tuma-La Dalia, and at the end to vote if you agree with these Reforms.
Did you get this little sheet of paper? If everyone has this little sheet of paper with them then there are seven points, they are the points of Reform, they are the seven points that we have come to consult with them if they agree, let’s look at them.
The First Point it states is that no law that they make in any country in the world is valid in Nicaragua. In Nicaragua, the laws of Nicaragua are valid, they serve, they have effects. The laws of Nicaraguans, for Nicaraguans, not laws made somewhere else in the world which they want to apply here.
That's what our Constitution says here, that's what it's still going to say; so no one should come to us threatening us with such a law.
The laws for Nicaraguans are the ones that are made in Nicaragua. You're going to tell me that later, but right now if you're clear about it then later on you're going to vote. But also if you agree you can say so now.
The Second Point, let's see if it is true that you understand this and are clear about it. On July 19th Comandante Daniel said there will be no elections here for the golpista criminals to come, selling out the nation so as to take over the government and turn Health Care and Education into a business along with everything else we have been building.
This Second Point says, they will not be able to participate, the coup plotters, the traitors to the Nation, those who ask for military intervention, will not be able to take part, and so that we are all clear, the question that people always ask us is, whether or not there will elections? Yes, there are going to be elections, but elections of Nicaraguans, for Nicaraguans, and we are not going to allow them to come with money from outside to finance their political parties; we are not going to allow that. Can we all be clear about that?
Thirdly, let’s not lose the thread, we have already done two point; let's go to the third, the period of government between one election and the next, the periods of public office will be seven years; remember before they were five, then a six year period was approved and now seven.
Now studying that and given that the main consideration is that it takes seven years for important projects to be carried out, you can see the time the construction of hospitals takes, and so the proposal that we have come to submit to the People President is that the period be seven years.
The Fourth point is that not only the period of elected positions, or the positions that the President appoints, but also the periods of appointment of the Army Chiefs and the Police Chiefs; that is, we are going to level up the period of all those post up to 7 years.
The Fifth Point is that someone has to tell the coup plotters, you cannot participate, someone has to tell their political parties they cannot register because they are receiving money from abroad, someone has to tell them, and that someone is the Supreme Electoral Council. So, what Point Five says is that we give the Supreme Electoral Council the powers to do so.
The Sixth Point is for Rubén Darío, Rubén Darío the Universal Poet, and we praise Rubén Darío, he was born in Nicaragua on January 18th, but what happens? We hold the Inauguration on January 10th; so we say it is not fair that just a week before the date of birth of the great Rubén Darío we hold the Inauguration. So what we are proposing is that the Inauguration in our country be on January 18th in honor of Rubén Darío.
And finally, since the terms of office are going to be seven years, we have to combine them with the elected offices that exist right now, it means that there are Deputies, Councilors, Mayors, Mayors, who were elected for six years, then the next Elections are going to be in 2028; if we are extending this period to seven years, the elections will be in 2028; then it means that those who are elected right now also have to extend their period of office, because it all has to be consistent.
In these things it is as the bricklayers say, that a measure cannot be out of true, a measure is a measure, a year is a year, we have to make sure that these things are level. These are the seven points. Now I'll stop talking, because we all want to listen to you. And from Facunda's relatives to the last person to speak we are here to listen, we are here to listen to you all.
Brothers and Sisters, do we all understand this? Yes. One last question from me, I want to know about those who are here, I want to hear, for you to tell me with a shout, so you show the great affection that we have for Daniel and Rosario. Let's go ahead, Compañeras and Compañeros... Long live Daniel and Rosario!

Thank you Doctor Gustavo Porras, and thank you all for your patience in waiting because some of you have come from distant Communities, because you come from Rancho Grande from Waslala, and from Tuma-La Dalia.
This is a very important Session, this Special Session of the National Assembly with the People President of these three municipalities, with the Youth President, with the Women President, with the Men President, with the Athletes Presidents, with the Artists and Promoters of Culture, with the Children President, with the Families President of these Historic Municipalities who along with the National Assembly and all of us are dedicating this session to our Heroes and Heroines who fell in Waslala and Rancho Grande for the Patriotic Nation, for the Revolution.
In Waslala the student leader "La Gata" Munguía who fell in El Chile; Comandante Jacinto Hernández, whose mother Amanda Aguilar was a leader of the Women of El Cuá, his grandparents were members of the Army in Defense of National Sovereignty, his grandmother was a cook who accompanied General Sandino, and his grandfather was a member of the Army in Defense of National Sovereignty, and our Brother Martiniano Aguilar, Fidel Aguilar and all our Heroes.
Comandante Filemón Rivera also participated in these mountains and fell in combat in this area of La Dalia, Rancho Grande and Waslala, which indicates their historic value for the history of the Nation, for the history of Freedom, Peace and Stability we have conquered today, thanks to that courage, thanks to the integration of the peasantry of our areas of Kuskawás, Zinica, Las Vallas.
For the information of the Brothers and Sisters visiting us, in these areas around the Matagalpa, Pancasán, Kuskawás area, two Guerrilla Routes were organized, the La Tronca, Kuskawás Route, and the Dalia, El Cuá, Bocay, Bocaysito, Las Vallas, Zinica Route to Boca de Piedras, where our Commander-in-Chief Carlos Fonseca was and who paid with his precious blood for this land which has become very productive now supplying our national and international markets, but even more productive from the point of view of ensuring the continuity of the legacy of our Heroes and Martyrs.
That is why today we give our Brothers and Sisters of the National Assembly the most cordial welcome to these lands, and we hope that they will continue to visit us, that they will share with us that joy of living in Peace, that joy of working and producing to continue developing our country, our Communities and our Municipalities.
Without further ado, let’s give the floor to the Compañeras and Compañeros who are willing to take the floor, to express their support for these Constitutional Reforms to continue advancing on the Development Path, in the fight against poverty, and for the development of our Communities and our Families.

Good morning, honourable Assembly, good morning people of Nicaragua, I want to thank you for this chance to speak. I am a Representative of the sector of Transport Operators of Tuma-La Dalia, and also a Believer and follower of Christ, how can we not think of how Christ died on the Cross of Calvary to save our sins? We all believe. The Word of God says that we must respect the authorities. The Word of God says in Romans, Chapter 13, verse 1 and 2: I submit every person to the Higher Authorities, because there is no Authority except that from God, and those whom by God have been established, so that he who opposes the Authorities resists His Authority.
We as a Transport sector and as Believers and Followers of Christ, we support the Reforms, we support the Central Government, because that is biblical, Brothers and Sisters we have to respect the Authorities that are put in place because they come from God.
It is God's Will that this Government be at the head of us Nicaraguans, and also all of us, in front of the Government that is present here, the National Assembly and the President will clearly have the support of all the Followers of Christ, because as long as there is freedom of worship, to the one who died on the Cross of Calvary for all the sins of the world, he will see the support of the Central Government and the Assembly that is present. Good morning dear Compañeros of the National Assembly, Militants, and Compañeras and Compañeros and Media, my name is Abdel Orozco Moreno, Representative of the Ministry of Health of Tuma-La Dalia, as a representative of the Ministry of Health in La Dalia, it is an honor to be here, we ratify our Commitment to the People President, improving Health services, as such; in our trench where we work to be in contact with Compañeros and Compañeras, with Militants.
We ratify this commitment as such, because this allows us to avoid foreign interference. The laws of Nicaragua are for Nicaraguans.

Good morning Compañeras and Compañeros members of the National Assembly, good morning to the various people from the Municipalities who are joining us today. From the July 19th Sandinista Youth, from Tuma-La Dalia, as a cheerful, combative Vanguard, loyal to our Heroes and Martyrs, we firmly support the Constitutional Reforms, interpreting them as a strategic and revolutionary step, which provides the legal framework of our Nation, in accordance with the fundamental principles of the FSLN.
Why do we as Youth support these Reforms? Because we follow the example of the General of Free Men and Women, Augusto C. Sandino. These Reforms reaffirm the unyielding defense of our Identity, Independence, Self-determination and Dignity.
We reject foreign interference in all the forms that they want to impose on us; we support a legal system that puts the Human Being at the center, supporting the continuation of support, Solidarity, Social Justice, the Common Good and the Restitution of Rights for Families.
This Reform constitutionally consolidates the role of Youth in the areas of Technical, Professional Education, Sports, Culture, Innovation and Creative Economy, ensuring that the new generations continue to be the protagonists of social transformations.
The FSLN has demonstrated that Peace is the indispensable first step towards eradicating poverty and advancing towards development. In the constitutional framework, it strengthens Sovereign Security and the harmonious coexistence that the Nicaraguan people have worked so hard to build.

Good morning everyone, welcome to our National Assembly, Local and Municipal Authorities of Waslala, Rancho Grande, La Dalia, Political Secretaries, National Police who protect our security, Young People, Relatives of our Heroes and Martyrs, for whom I request a strong applause for being gathered here.
Greetings to you this morning, I’m Yonielka Hernández Flores, President of the National Agrarian University, as a Rural University in the Municipality of El Tuma-La Dalia CUR Norman Eleazar Zeledón, which we are the result of practically all those Projects that our Heroes, including Norman Eleazar Zeledón and the previous ones who are present in our Municipality of Tuma-La Dalia for example Veterinary Medicine.
We are the result of those Projects that our Government, our President Daniel Ortega and our Co-President Rosario Murillo have promoted. We support, we fully support from the First Article to the Seventh Article that are being presented, to reform our Magna Carta, the Political Constitution of Nicaragua.
On behalf of the Young University Students of the Agrarian University, we support it so that more projects keep coming to our Municipalities and Departments. I appreciate the space provided by our Compañeras and Compañeros, and I thank God for allowing me to be here.
Also to invite the young men and women who are here and who also dream like me, or any other young person of studying Veterinary Medicine, which for many was just a dream, because before we had to travel to Leon or Managua, but today thanks to our Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario, we have the Agrarian University in the Municipality Tuma-La Dalia.
I invite all the Compañeras and Compañeros from Rancho Grande, La Dalia and Waslala who want to study Veterinary Medicine next year, to approach the Secretary of the Municipality Tuma-La Dalia, that way we will be ready with the opening at that University.

A very good morning, honorable Deputies of the National Assembly, receive a cordial greeting from the Evangelical Churches of the Municipality of Rancho Grande. My name is Amado Sánchez Mendoza, Pastor of the Quadrangular Church, President of the Pastoral Alliance and Representative of the Christian Churches here.
Today I come not as a politician but as a Pastor and Servant of God, I come with the voice of many Congregations, of mothers, fathers and young people, who every Sunday raise our hands to pray for our Nicaragua and for its Authorities.
The Bible in First Timothy 2:1:2 let supplications, petitions and actions of grace be made for all men, the laws, and for all who are in eminence so that we may live feast days restfully in all piety and honesty, and that is what we do.
Honorable Deputies, we are here to express our explicit support for the Constitutional Reform, because from the territories of Rancho Grande we have seen three concrete fruits that bless our People.
First: Stability, the house is built on firm rock. Matthew 7:25. In Rancho Grande, stability means that Road, Water and School projects can continue; it means that peasant families have certainty to work and sow; it means that our Churches can plan long-term to serve children, the Elderly, and Young People without interruptions.
A stable constitution gives foundation to the nation, and where there is foundation there is future.
Second: Safety, the Lord is my fortress and my shield, Psalm 28:7. Thank God in our Municipalities we have seen more tranquility, security allows us to open the doors of this temple at night for a vigil, it allows our young people to go to school and return home without fear, it allows the sisters to go to the market with confidence.
A safe Nation is a Nation where the Family is strengthened and a strong Family is the basis of a healthy society.
And third: Peace. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the Sons of God. Matthew 5:9.
Peace is what the Nicaraguan heart longs for, in Rancho Grande Peace can be seen when neighbor helps neighbor, it is seen when Churches of different Denominations can gather to pray for the People, it is seen when young people have opportunities and do not leave the country.
We explicitly support this Reform because we believe that it contributes to Reconciliation, Dialogue and Unity for all Nicaraguans. As Churches of Rancho Grande we commit ourselves before God and before you members of the National Assembly to three things.
To continue praying for this Assembly and for our Comandante Daniel Ortega; secondly, to continue teaching in our Pulpits values of respect, work and love for the Nation; thirdly, to continue serving the neediest, because faith without works is moribund.
For all the above we reiterate, our total support for the Constitutional Reforms, may God bless you because your decision is the blessing of thousands of Families.
May God bless Nicaragua, may God bless Rancho Grande and its Authorities, may God bless our President Daniel Ortega. Thank you very much.

Just to emphasize that I grew up watching my parents till the land and grow coffee and it was a very long dream for us to achieve Higher Education. However, the Sandinista Front for us young people means Hope, fulfilling our dreams.
Today, we serve our population and I, like many young people, see in the Sandinista Front an opportunity to continue to learn a little to be more human. So then we, from the Sandinista Youth, also reaffirm that we support the Constitutional Reform.

Good morning Sandinista Families, good morning Compañeras and Compañeros Members of the National Assembly. How nice to feel that connection of the People President, but first I want to ask, where is the Sandinista Youth? I'm going to plagiarize a little Compañero Gustavo Porras who said in Esteli, whoever loses the Spirit of Youth, loses the revolutionary Spirit.
Compañeras and Compañeros, my name is Erick Zamora, I am of the UNEN for Matagalpa Norte, La Dalia, Rancho Grande and Waslala. We greet with a fraternal affection our Brothers and Sisters of our Victory Units.
The Youth of today is not the Youth that 8 years ago contemplated an attempted coup, and destroyed schools and the country. The Youth of today are on work with Compañera Rosario, with Comandante Daniel, sending quarterly plans and receiving that approval from Compañera Rosario. We are working for young people to fulfill their dreams.
In 2006, La Dalia, Rancho Grande and Waslala did not have UNICAM; that's what hurts the coup plotters, to see peasants in the Universities of the President's People.
It is illogical that they are upset, when it is obvious to see the young people doing well, someone from Rancho Grande coming in rubber boots to study at UNICAM, when someone like that is able to do so one’s heart is moved, for one can say that is the People President. That is why today Young People dream, yearn, grow up, dance and do so together with Daniel, in this patriotic context young, talented athletes received the Torch confirming that the vote of confidence in them given by this Government is not in vain.
Here we have Fellow Sandinista Youth Coordinators who graduated from UNICAM in 2012, serving our People, Vicente Medrano, a Doctor, spoke there. And how beautiful it is when one addresses the young people and says to them: you are a peasant and now you are a Professional and you are going to provide care to the peasants of Yales, de La Tronca, Kuskawás, and Boca de Piedra, there where Comandante Carlos fell. This is the Youth that is with Daniel.

I am Lucrecia Osegueda from the Municipality of Waslala and I represent the transport sector; I come from this land fertilized with the Blessed Blood of our Heroes and Martyrs.
By this means, we ratify and support what exists and was done in the National Assembly, we support the Reforms, and we are going to support it as long as it is in our hands to do so, support it and attend to it.

Bernardino Díaz Ochoa, from the territory of El Tuma-La Dalia, was a trade unionist who organized El Cuá, Rancho Grande and La Dalia.
They wanted to silence his voice, but here the People are saying Present! for our Heroes and Martyrs of our Region. I am Boanerges Avilés Mendoza from District II of El Tuma.

My name is Freddy Arauz Ríos, I come on behalf of Small and Medium Producers, since this is the land where we produce coffee, corn, beans. Land fertilized by those Heroes and Martyrs who fell in the Revolution.
Compañeras and Compañeros who fertilized these lands and I think it's easy to look at this group of people, how we are gathered today freely because those were the ideals of our Heroes and Martyrs, that we should be free and that's why today I come on behalf of the producers, to firmly support the Reform of the Political Constitution, we strongly support because we know that it's the best thing they've done so that we can see more products as before we didn't look in the 80s, we didn't look at a producer here in this area.
I think that Congresswoman Amada Pineda does not let me lie, the lands belonged to the Landowners, there were no Producers here, today that was the mission of these Compañeros who paid for these lands to see this town today free of everything. Thank you.

Good morning Compañeras and Compañeros Deputies, my name is José Ramón Espinoza Castro, worker of the Municipality El Tuma La Dalia, we are also representing the District Number 2 of El Tuma.
I want to tell you for my part, and on behalf of all those workers of the Mayor's Office and District II, that we support the Seven Articles that are named there, very clear and well explained, for all those who want to intervene, because here in Nicaragua, we have a Government that we elected and no one should come along to say what we have to do here.
We have a President who has fought for the country and has carried it forward, that's why we agree with these Law Reforms. These Seven Articles are perfect, we approve them Compañero Gustavo, Compañeras and Compañeros Deputies.
I would like to express a little poetry to Compañero Gustavo for that affection we have for our Comandante Daniel who may not be here, but he is watching us right now this morning; it goes like this:

Good morning, Compañeras and Compañeros Deputies, good morning Compañeros and Compañeras from the Northern Department, from the party structure; my name is Javier Chavarría, I come from District II of the Municipality of El Tuma La Dalia, I am retired from the Army, a Militant of the Sandinista National Liberation Front.
We are in the lands of Bernardino Díaz Ochoa, we are in the lands of the Women of El Cuá, in the lands of dozens of Compañeros and Compañeras who gave their lives in these territories. We have come from our more than 74 Victory Units of District II to give our support to the Constitutional Reform, to give our support to Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario.
We are here to tell you, the gringos, not to mess with us, they have already tried us and there I have my bows, inherited from the Indian Archers, from Yupul here from Matagalpa, I have the stones inherited from Andrés to defend the National Sovereignty, with our Life, if necessary.
Compañeros, I want to tell you that the retired army soldiers did not demobilize when it was our turn and we went to hang up our backpacks, no; we only changed from the old to put on the new and be prepared in the trench assigned to us to defend this Sovereignty, this Peace that we are living in Nicaragua.

They participated consciously, they mentioned their studies; some Compañeros mentioned their peasant origin and that they are doctors; other Compañeros who are studying at the Rural University program, who are at the Agrarian University, Traders, Producers. This is a reality. Pastors, a Miskito Teacher of Alto Wanky, we can say this is a reality before our Brothers and Sisters, the relatives of our Heroes; it's a reality.
We are going to put these Reforms to a vote; so please stand up and raise your hands all the Citizens, Brothers and Sisters, People President of Waslala, Rancho Grande and Tuma-La Dalia who agree with these Reforms. We have raised our hands.
