Come and join our free virtual course on women’s rights in Nicaragua!
Have you ever wondered how the women from a poor, developing country—Nicaragua—have managed to be world leaders in terms of educational achievement, representation in government, and women’s health?
Then join us this Saturday, June 4, for the next session of “Women in Nicaragua: Power and Protagonism”—a virtual course with an optional in-person visit to the country, facilitated jointly by the Alliance for Global Justice and Casa Ben Linder.
The virtual course, launched on Saturday, May 21 with wonderful presentations by Nicaraguan women leaders about the history of their progress.
This Saturday’s session will talk about women’s economic empowerment, with a keynote speech by the Minister of the Family and Cooperative Economy, followed by three grassroots women.
You can register here; find course materials, including a recording
of the May 21 session, at this link.
Applications to the optional in-person delegation
in August can be found here.
